Issuing a rallying cry in her stirring final speech to the Chelsea faithful, Hayes shouted: "Let me be clear. It's not f*cking over. There's no time for sentimentality. All work drinks are cancelled. There's a title to be won. This group of players taught me something so special this week, that you never ever give up."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Hayes has been keen to ensure that her side were ready to pounce on any slip-up in the title race and made sure they seized their opportunity on Sunday. City had been 1-0 up against Arsenal until a late Stina Blackstenius brace stole all three points and gave Chelsea the motivation to put eight goals past Bristol City and improve their goal difference massively.
