Leeds United are reportedly interested in signing Cameron Brannagan.
The Oxford United midfielder has been brilliant this term, netting five goals and providing five assists for the Us in just 19 appearances.
Of course, League One is a different standard to the Championship, but with Brannagan reportedly being available for around £1m it seems like it’d be well worth taking a punt on the 23-year-old.

However, signing a new midfield player who can score as well as he can create chances may spell bad news for one of Leeds’ brightest academy prospects.
Indeed, Mateusz Bogusz is a player that United fans have raved about for months, previously campaigning for him to get a chance in the first-team.
However, the young Pole’s chances of seeing any senior action may decrease if Brannagan comes in as the teenager would fall even further down the pecking order.
Bogusz hasn’t seen much senior football, but during the games he played for Polish outfit Ruch Chorzow he showed his eye for goal, netting five goals in 19 appearances last season before sealing a move to Elland Road in January.
Unfortunately, the arrival of Brannagan may mean that the youngster doesn’t get a look in. Even if the squad is down to its bare-bones, he would be restricted to a limited role with the Oxford United midfielder able to provide more experience and depth in Bogusz’s position. After playing just once this term, it’s hard to see him being handed a chance as it is.
Whether or not the League One star comes to Elland Road remains to be seen, but if he does it could have a serious effect on Bogusz’s first-team aspirations.
